Referred to as the ‘cleanup crew’ in the reptile hobby, isopods are crustaceans (and, by extension, invertebrates), related to their sea-dwelling ‘giant deep-sea isopod’ cousins.
Here in the Parry Sound area of Ontario, we see related Pill bugs – Armadillidium vulgare, classic ‘rolly pollies’.
